Get an idea of the booking and logistic steps that we take once you have decided to offer our conservation safari to your Zoo Members
The Process
01
Get in touch
with the basics
Step one you contact us and let us discuss firstly any preferred focus for the conservation work – this maybe a particular species, type of work or area. What is the group size, a budget range and the time of year you would like to have your group travel. We recommend a minimum of one year prior to travel to start this process.
02
Building your
itineraries
We then will build out two or three sample itineraries that outline the activities and impacts – you would choose the option that suits best, we then fine tune the details and build out a detailed digital online itinerary and provide images plus a PDF document for you to use as tools to approach your zoo members .
03
First security
deposits
Once your have established interest from your members,
we would ask for a 10% deposit to secure the itinerary. Four months later we would need a further 40% deposit to maintain all the bookings and begin to reserve internal logistics. Each conservation experience will require a donation portion made separately to the Ivan Carter Wildlife Conservation Alliance which is a licensed 501C Non-profit in the USA.
04
In person
presentations
At any time through the process once the 10% deposit has been secured one of our guides would be glad to travel to your zoo and do a series of presentations over two days.
We would ask that you cover accommodations of this visit however we would cover the flights.
05
Full travel
support
We will provide all the necessary “travel support” in the form of flight booking assistance, logistics, clothing and equipment lists and everything that people need to receive to be well prepared for the trip plus any additional destination bookings and planning that maybe required to complete the whole experience
06
Participants
meeting
One month prior to departure we suggest a big group zoom call with us and recommend at least one informal dinner for all the participants to meet each other.

Sample Itineraries
Here are some sample itineraries that are examples of what we would present to your group , branded of course with your zoo logo.
Conservation Impact Safari - South Africa
This safari combines the beautiful Cape Town area with the exceptional wildlife that occurs in the Ngala Private Game Reserve, Kruger Private Reserves and Selati Game Reserve over 11 nights but most importantly is the conservation work that you will get hands on experience with, like de-horning a rhino, collaring a predator or perhaps a giraffe for research purposes. This is a fantastic experience for a small or large group.

Conservation Impact Safari - Namibia
Join a unique conservation safari in Namibia over 12 nights, where you'll support dedicated wildlife professionals and gain a behind-the-scenes experience of conservation efforts. You'll witness amazing wildlife in stunning landscapes like Okonjima Reserve, Etosha Pan, and Damaraland, while contributing to the preservation of Namibia's natural heritage. Be part of a story that's making a real difference in conservation.
Bespoke Species-Focused Awareness Safari
We can build your custom conservation safari around a specific animal group or destination which would most interest your Zoo Members. Going in to see what happens behind the scenes on the front line of conservation and be right there working with some of Africa's wildlife professionals.
